you can try to help us ensure that we’ve got all the important stuff

<p class=MsoNormal>The reason why we are releasing an alpha is that this
release features a substantial change in the networking code that NeXpose uses
for scanning. Normally on Windows we use the standard Windows network stack for
scanning. However, with Windows XP, Windows 7, and Vista, Microsoft
incorporated restrictions in accessing raw sockets (see <a
href="http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms740548(VS.85).aspx">http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms740548(VS.85).aspx</a>).
This puts some significant limitations on performance and makes scanning from
these OSes extraordinarily slow. We’ve fixed that, but want to get your
feedback to make sure we got it right.<o:p></o:p></p>
